it took me a while, but i've finally got around to publishing this post

about 5 months ago, my beloved jesse and i got married

location - david's table, mt. zion, jerusalem

dress - ebay (custom made)

heels - zara (yup!)

flats - massimo dutti

hair decoration - made myself

belt - made myself

jacket - gifted h&m (garden collection)

engagement ring and earrings (borrowed) - idit

well

first of all - i still can't believe it actually happened

and 5 months ago, no less!

we had a small and intimate event

just family and close friends

about 130 people

no puffy dress, no fuss

just a simple vintage-y atmosphere

of course i couldn't start my day without the swarls 

(whom we adopted just a couple of weeks prior to the wedding day) 

how pretty is the shoe box of my massimo dutti flats?

it is a good enough reason to buy their shoes

(this is when i finally started realizing this was really happening...)

and speaking of the dress

it was a perfect fit - and i felt so natural in it

which is exactly what i wanted - as i said - no puffy dress

it's really not my style...

you'd never be able to guess how much it cost...

$109! custom made!

i swore that i wouldn't buy an expensive dress

and indeed - i didn't!

i felt like a 50's starlette here...

the gorgeous earrings the lovely idit let me borrow

the engagement ring jesse got me

(he picked it all on his own! ;) )

and a few words i wrote to him

(we decided to exchange vows, to make the wedding "ours") 

i wanted to go for a 50's pin up girl look

(in a wholesome way, that is)

with the red nail polish, red roses, and of course - the perfect red shoes

(which i saw at the store months before the wedding

but couldn't afford to buy just like that, for no special reason...

well - i ended up getting them for the most special reason of all!)  

my two best friends, who planned the best bachelorette party ever

(i still drool over those heart shaped pizzas and focaccias...)

eden (who's making her zigzaggirl debut)

and sharon, whom you met already

i love how all our outfits had such cool colors

that worked really well together

my stylish parents

jesse with his parents and his lovely sister, nora

who introduced us at her birthday party a year and a half ago

little did she know she affected the universe greatly that day... :)

(since he couldn't participate in the event itself)

because it's a "mitzva" to make 

the bride and groom happy on their wedding night

what a sweetheart!

 nora and her good friend knitay (who just got engaged too, to the lovely ruth!)

are rocking it on the dance floor 

btw - since you may know by now that 

jesse and i love "the princess bride"

we had this scene (sooo funny! i love it!) edited

and we played it just before the dancing part of the wedding began

just another thing that made the wedding personal

by the end of the night i was done with all the pretending:

wearing heels while dancing for hours on end is impossible!

so there you have it - black feet
